The City of Laredo Health Department Reminds the Public of Rabies “Vacuna” Clinic

Special to the Laredo Sun
Laredo, TX – The City of Laredo Health Department (CLHD) wants to remind the public that rabies continues to be a local threat and that everyone needs to vaccinate their pets (3 months and older; or check with your veterinarian), either at their veterinarian’s office or at the Health Department. Pets also need to be registered with a microchip and be under the care of a veterinarian. For this reason, CLHD will be conducting a Rabies “Vacuna” Clinic on Wednesday, March 19, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Laredo Animal Care Facility at 5202 Maher Avenue, Laredo, TX.

The cost for pet rabies vaccination is $12.00, microchip is $10.00 and registration is $ 5.00. Additional vaccinations will be available upon request for an additional cost.

Please present a U.S. Government issued photo I.D. and a water utility bill to qualify for service.
Person requesting services must reside within Laredo city limits.

For more information on the clinic or pet adoption, contact the CLHD Animal Control Services at (956) 795-4902 or the Laredo Animal Care Facility (LACF) at (956) 717-5762.
